Community Support
The Program
IOI is assisting in various social, developmental and educational causes in coordination with the local authorities and organizations. Through this program IOI supports the early childhood education center, provides technical assistance and funding for after-school programing, collaborates with the Center for Human Rights, sponsors public sports, arts, environmental education and recreational events as well as coordinating environmental education and outreach projects.
Supporting the local school system
- Providing teaching assistance for “English as a Foreign Language” for G1-8
- Creation of an English language teaching curriculum for all grades
- Creation and provision of teaching materials and activities
Supporting the Municipality
- Support of social, conservation and education projects
- Summer programs and camps
- Uniforms for summer programs and camps
- Sponsorship of the provincial soccer championship
- Financial support for the artificial grass indoor soccer field
- Training of sports coaches
- Funding of the Center for Child Development
Supporting the Center for Child Development
- Economic support for the salaries
- Training of the community's mothers
- Technical assistance in the creation of early stimulation programs
- Development of teaching materials for children
- Organization of youth outings
Supporting the Environmental Education Center
- Technical assistance in the creation of programs and projects for children, youth and adolescents during their after-school free time
- Talks and workshops on different themes, such as: leadership, sustainable development, drug prevention, sexual education, and public health
- Economic support for snacks and transport for outings, and materials
- Technical assistance and volunteers to support the daily activities of children, youth and adolescents
- Construction of a living fence with gate for the Center for Happiness
- Organization of beach clean-ups
Supporting the Center for Human Rights
- Supporting social service projects solicited by the Center for Human Rights, MIES-INFA
