Cost

Tuition

Tuition costs are standard UM tuition and financial aid applies if available.

Program Fee

The program fee for the semester is comparable to UM room, board and living costs and covers:

• Hotels and hostels at the start and end of the program in Quito and Santa Cruz
• Accommodation and most meals with a local host family in Isabela
• All meals
• National flights within Ecuador (round-trip Quito/Galapagos)
• All necessary transportation for travel and excursions also includes the required $150 Study Abroad application fee

Discounts (summer programs only; not applicable for tuition)

• Early Bird Super Saver (10% off; down payment 3 months before application deadline)
• Referral bonus (10% for every referral; up to 50% off)

Scholarships

To promote international awareness and to promote stewardship in Galapagos we give out need based scholarships for non-UM students outstanding through their extracurricular involvement in community work and conservation. To apply for these scholarships please submit a short (1 page) essay on your dedication in community work and conservation to info@ioi-galapagos.org explaining your need and why you deserve to receive a scholarship from IOI.
