Living Arrangements While Traveling

In Quito and Santa Cruz (at the beginning and end of the program students will be hosted in local hostel and hotel rooms. The 2 - 4 bed rooms are all fully equipped with private bathroom, hot water, TV, AC, etc).

Living Arrangements Isabela, Galapagos

Short programs: winter intersession, spring break and summer classes
Students will be hosted local hostel and hotel rooms. The spacious 2 – 4 bed rooms are all fully equipped with private bathroom, hot water, view of either ocean or volcano and are located no more than a block from the beach.

Full semester abroad:
Students will live with a local host family for maximum cultural immersion. Our host families are very fun, caring, friendly and open. However, the style of living in Galapagos is very basic. Be prepared to encounter a standard you are not used to. To American standards furnishing is spartan and much of life based on the outdoors. (No worries, you will get used to it quickly and learning to be able to live with less is a great experience). Few families speak English, hence it is preferable that students have at least a minimum level of Spanish.
