IOI Winter Intersession
We have a fantastic class set up for the winter. We put together a MARINE INVERTEBRATE ECOLOGY class from December 27th to January 13th. Apart from being at our institute in Isabela, Galapagos and spending New Years in paradise it feature the following exciting details:
- It is worth 3 credits (transferable into the US system via official transcript)
- Features daily fieldwork and several snorkel and day trips, independent observation and lab time (classroom time 30%)
- It costs less then any major US university’s study abroad class (3,500$ incl. credits)
- Includes full Room and Board, national flights (Ecuador), Park entrance and inter-island transport
- And here is the kicker: The class will be co-taught by two Professors with considerable local and international experience:
- Gabrielle Johnson - UCSB and Galapagos National Park
- Fernando Arcos - ESPOL and Scrips Institute
- Grading will be: Exam (40%), Lab notebook (30%), Class participation (10%), Seminar presentation (20%)
- Pre-requisite: Bio 101
